The Lima´s Street Food

Hi! My name is Daniela, and I live in Lima, the capital of the south American country called Peru! In my humble opinion I have to say Peru is one of the best countries where you can find absolutely sensational street food.  Here you can find a variety of cheap but tasty food such as Ceviche, Picarones and also Causa. I will continue to to describe each one of them.

Ceviche, a typical sea food dish, is becoming increasingly popular every year around the world. But the special things about this dish is the mix of ingredients. If the ingredients are fresh, your ceviche will be delicious. It is very quick and easy to make. First, mix the chopped fish with the lemon juice, then add some of the chopped garlic, the chopped chili, grated kion, an onion and finally add boiled corn.

I eat Picarones at least once a week for it’s delicious sweet flavor and soft texture. They possess a similar look to that of a beignet, but it is not entirely the same. For starters, they are not made with flour and eggs, but instead with combination containing macre, sweet potatoes and Chancaca. If you ever come to visit Lima, you can’t miss getting some to eat.

Causa is one of the more famous staple foods of peruvian cuisine. Known for its simple yet rich tasting flavor, it is a very fast and moderately simple dish to prepare that usually takes around 20 minutes to make. The main key ingredients that make this dish are potato, lime, yellow pepper, chicken or tuna.
